The concept for the Fairbanks Record Expo began in the typically cold and dark of winter out of a desire to get music lovers together for the sake of music, not profit. Fairbanks is unique in that there are hundreds of ardent music fans with a diverse range of knowledge and taste, yet there is not a single outlet for used records, CDs or cassettes. The Fairbanks Record Expo aims to change all that with this growing community event.

The first Fairbanks Record Expo was held June 27, 2009 and was based almost entirely on word of mouth advertising. Still, the turnout was strong with close to 7,000 pieces of music for sale. Not bad at all. Every music dealer made sales, while more than one hundred people went away happy with great music tucked under their arms.

Based on this success, the Fairbanks Record Expo is now a permanent fixture on the landscape. Look for shows each spring and fall, around Breakup and before Freeze up, as we like to say.

Please get in touch if you'd like to sell at the show, or need more information about attending,  See you there,
